About us
We are a family run farm situated on the lower slopes of Halkyn Mountain overlooking the Dee Estuary.
The buffalo arrived in 1998, 40 from Romania and 10 bred in the UK. Initially we milked the Buffalo but when the lean, low fat, low cholesterol meat became available we concentrated on the meat side of the business and converted some redundant farm buildings into a butchery. This facility enables us to process all the meat produced on the farm.
Animal welfare is most important to us and we are regularly audited to be members of Farm Assured Welsh Livestock but all our customers have the opportunity to see our animals for themselves at our open day on Sunday the 1st June 2008.
North Wales Buffalo has featured on Dudley (S4C), Grubs Up with Simon Rimmer (ITV) and have also had articles in newspapers from the local publications to the Telegraph and the Times.
