The buffalo have been with us since 1998 and the herd has now built up to around 200 animals.
They eat grass, silage, hay and straw and are very good converters of poor quality forage.
Their meat is tender and tasty and contains very little fat and has been proved to have very low cholesterol content – A healthy alternative red meat.
